This F.A.Q. will answer some of the question you might have about my Wedding Photography. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions, comments or suggestions.
What does Full Coverage mean?
Full Coverage means just that, full coverage of the whole day. I will not show up just as the ceremony starts and disappear when the cake is cut. I start with getting ready shots and stay until the end of the reception or until the couple decides that they do not need me anymore. There is no hourly limit or additional charges.
Do you have different packages?
I want to keep things simple and comprehensive on the business end. That is why I do not have different packages, I do not charge per hour and I do not have a la carte pricing. When in season my fee for Wedding Coverage is always flat and all inclusive. When out of season (November – April) I do offer substantial discounts.
Are you insured?
This is one of the most important questions you can ask your Wedding Photographer. Business Liability insurance is very important as it protects me, you and all your guests from accidents. Also many of the higher-end venues will not allow a Photographer (or any vendor) to work on the premises without Liability Insurance. I carry full Business Liability Insurance.
Which states do you cover?
I love traveling and distance is never a problem. I cover VT, NH, MA, ME, RI, CT, NY. I am also available for long distance travel for locations all across the US and Destination Weddings.
How would you describe your style, is it photojournalism?
Yes. I am a storyteller, not just a historian documenting the "must have moments". I will not direct your wedding, nor will I yell “Freeze” or “Hold”. I am unobtrusive and always try to blend as much as possible. Rather than directing I anticipate and react.
Do you take formal pictures?
Formal shots are a part of almost every wedding. It is up to you. We can do a couple or couple of hundred.
Is there a contract? How about a retainer?
Yes. A signed contract is one of the requirements for a date to be booked. A retainer is required for a date to be booked.
What sets you apart from other photographers?
I do not view your wedding as just another gig. I take pride in my work and the results I provide for my clients. You do not hire me to provide a service, you hire me to provide results.
How long will I have to wait before I see the pictures?
I won't make you wait for 4-6 weeks to see the results. Approximately 24hrs after the wedding about 50 of the shots, chosen by me, will be online for you to see and share. Although not suitable for printing they are great for e-mail sharing with friends and family that could not attend your wedding. This comes at no additional cost.
What happens to the original ("digital negative") images?
You will receive those 7-10 days after the wedding on a USB. They are high-resolution, 300-dpi JPGS. Those are not "proofs". They are yours to reprint as many times as you want. I will reserve the right to use the shots for self promotion.
How do we and our guests get prints of our photos and Albums?
The option is yours. You can get them from me, you can print them by yourself in your favorite local lab. You can head to Pictage.com and use their services. Your guests can order prints online through Pictage.com or they can get them from you.
What if our Guests want to have they're photos taken?
Your guests are an important part of your wedding. I try to capture the whole wedding, in every aspect. Many of your guests will find they're way into many beautiful shots.
What is a "Web Gallery"?
About 7-10 days after the wedding many of your shots will be posted online to a gallery protected by a password. Your guests can visit the site log in and order prints in many different sizes.
Does this come at an extra cost?
No. Just like the online gallery the upload and the cards comes standard with every package. It is part of my effort to provide you with full service and make things as easy for the newly weds as possible. Instead of digging through your DVD for that special shot with a favorite cousin just direct them website
